About Red Circle Meditation

Wayne Chivers

Red Circle Meditation was established with the aim of creating a non-religious and highly approachable form of meditation for all members of the community, ranging from young children to senior citizens. Our program is delivered with the main intention to make meditation an uplifting and enjoyable experience for all.

With a 43-year journey of meditation and mindfulness, the basis of our program focuses on all aspects of meditation such as guided meditation, breath mediation as well as stillness and spiritual. At our four-week introductory course the team at Red Circle meditation will cover multiple types of meditation at an introductory level. As a student, this allows for you to explore and find your own preference which you may choose to pursue such style further after completion.

Lead by Wayne Chivers our primary meditation teacher, our program encompasses a broad knowledge base. In 1978 Wayne was introduced to meditation by Dr Ainslie Meares, an incredible psychiatrist, world renowned for helping heal his patients through meditative practices. Wayne's passion for meditation grew particularly stronger after reading Dr Ainslie's book the "Wealth Within". In the mid 1980's Wayne was then introduced to the Brahma Kumari's by a very dear friend who are dedicated to personal transformation, empowering the individual through spiritual based mediation. In 1987 Wayne was lucky enough to be in New York to meet and practice mediation with some of the world leading and most powerful meditation teachers. He continued practicing with the Brahma Kumaris for several years and in the mid 90's Wayne then did some work with Dr Peter Marriot who taught him about cognitive therapy, in conjunction to mindfulness. In recent years Wayne recognised he needed to obtain formal qualifications which lead him to complete his teacher training with Matthew Young at Melbourne Mediation. Wayne also received mentoring from Pauline McKinnon, one of Australia's leading teachers focusing on stillness mediation.

Why Red Circle Mediation?

A red circle symbolises power, manifestation and creating the opportunity to achieve a goal or intention.

After 40 years of manifesting ideas, Wayne was able to build our centre - purposefully built and designed with meditation at the forefront.
