Introductory Meditation Course

Next course commences early in 2023

If you are new to meditation and mindfulness, or you are looking to refine and develop your existing skills, our four week Introduction to Meditation Course will be perfect for you. You will develop skills to help you relax your mind and body, improve focus and think more clearly and creatively, and may help you to manage pain and anxiety.

Each class runs for 75 minutes and is conducted in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Week 1

An introduction to meditation

In the first week of the introductory course, you will learn to understand the fundamentals of meditation in a practical sense. This will include posture, dealing with your thoughts, an overall background about why we meditate, and a brief introduction to different meditation techniques.

This week we will also learn the differences between mindfulness and meditation.

Week 2

Introducing the practice of stillness meditation

Week two will follow with gaining a deeper insight into the benefits of integrating consistent meditation practice on a daily basis. We will also learn about brain waves and differences within the spectrum.

Week 3

Self awareness and manifestation

This week students will discover the meaning of self-awareness in context to meditation, learn to make decisions with intention, and introduce the power of manifesting.

Week 4

Empathy and exercise

In the final week of the course, we will focus on fine tuning and getting the most out of your mediation practice. This will include the partnering of exercise and mediation together and the concept of empathy. We will also discuss spiritual mediation and its many benefits.
